Sarah Rous originally trained with Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth, Texas.

She continued her training at San Francisco Ballet for two years before attending Ballet San Jose’s school for one year. She also trained during the summers at Kirov Academy, Pacific Northwest Ballet, School of American Ballet, and Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

She joined Ballet San Jose as a trainee during the 2007-08 season, and is now performing as an apprentice.
