Cynthia Sheppard was born in southern California and received her training at Ballet Arts Center in Long Beach, Houston Ballet Academy and the School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She has performed with New York Theatre Ballet, Oakland Ballet, and Diablo Ballet where she has worked with noted choreographers including Trey McIntyre, Dwight Rhoden, Julia Adam, KT Nelson and Donald McKayle.
Some of her favorite roles include Caroline in Antony Tudor’s Lilac Garden and Desdemona in José Limón’s The Moor’s Pavane. Cynthia has performed in Dennis Nahat’s The Nutcracker and is pleased to be returning for the 2007-2008 season.
